Gentoo LiveCD file too big for CD? Help!

I recently downloaded a Gentoo LiveCD file off of their site in hopes of starting my Linux experience, but the file seems to be slightly too large for a 700 MB CD, which it was designed for.

    Can anyone help?

Is this where you got the .iso file for the Live CD? Because that will fit on a 700 MB CD-R. Most Linux live CD's are just shy of 700 MB.

The file says its 685 MB, but when I hit get info after right clicking on it, it says over 700,000,000 bytes on disk, meaning my hard drive. Is there anyway i can compact it?

Or any easier, smaller downloads do you recommend?

    thanks

I'm not positive, but it sent me to a mirror to download it.

Should I just download the Minimal CD/Install CD from it?
