Linux Newbie - Installation Freezes

First of all, Hi to everyone.
Intro : Im a newbie to linux and installing it for skool purposes. I was looking around the web for info, and i came across this forum, which looks really helpfull even though i dont understand what half of it means.

So my attempt to install Linux is unsuccessfull sofar. whenever i start installing, after selecting graphical mode/ text mode, the screeen freezes at this line or a few lines before of after the one shown


As u can see i am using MS virtual PC, i allocated 256 mb ram. my processor AMD 64 x2 hp laptop.
i tried searching google and other places and couldnt find anything
I even left cliked and read thru Ozar's sig..lol

So any input would be appretiated, and i will keep looking also.
And sorry if i broke any rule sofar XD.

well solved it, i was looking in the wrong area.
problem was with MS VPC, and as i searched, i found about vmware. and everything is smooth sailing from there.
