    i c alot of commands for linux, and by me being such a newb i dont know where to enter them. i have tried to enter them in "run command" but nothing happend. i really need help with linux. i want to get into it but its so much diffferent than windows the transition is rough.

    You need to open a terminal emulator if you are running a graphical environment.
