    Can't boot live disk

My computer stops in the middle of booting linux live disks. I've tried Xandros 3.02, Kubuntu 6, SUSE 10.0. They all start out fine but get to a point (looks like trying to set up services) and then stop. I have a suspicion that it may be my computer hardware. I'm using a Gateway, 3.2GHz Celeron, 110 Gb Hard Drive, 1.5 Gb RAM. Any suggestions would ge greatly appreciated.

Try unplugging any USB devices, I've had the odd piece of kit interfere in this way before (but not with a Live CD).

    Can't Boot Live Disk

Thanks for the advice but I don't have any USB devices hooked up. I seem to recall seeing something in a forum about the hardware setup of some machines interfering with Linux use. I think that's the problem. I only have the problem on this one machine.
