    Error 17

    Hi there!

    I am currently running a dual-boot of Windows XP and Suse 10.1. Under XP, I upgraded by BIOS. Upon reboot, I got the error message

    GRUB Loading stage 1.5

    GRUB loading, please wait...
    Error 17

    I am still very new to Linux and would appreciate any assistance - I have searched other threads, but I don't quite follow

    BIOS upgrade should not create this problem.
    boot up from SuSe Installation CD/DVD, select 'Installation' and select 'Upgrade' in next screen. dont select any new package. just click next next next.....
    Installer will re-install GRUB.
