    Exclamation Linux Server Software

    Hey All!

I'm currently playing around with lots of different version of Linux to try and find the right one for myself and needs.

I currently have Mandriva installed but its proving difficult to get the correct software installed to act as a mail/file server.

Preferable i would love to use Redhat, but as far as I'm aware, you have to pay for the OS, which is not something i am willing to do.

I guess my question is, what Linux Dist would you lot suggest for ease of installation and to be used as a Mail/File server.
The computer i will be using is an AMD64 3400+ and it will be solely Linux, not dual boot or anything.

Hope you guys can help !!

    And nice meeting you all

Ubuntu has a server option during the install the you could try. Another option is CentOS. My understanding is that it's the same code as Red Hat, but free.
