    Two Good Books

The following two books from O'Reilly Associates cover the material (and a lot else):

Siever, Weber, Figgins, Love, and Robbins, Linux in a Nutshell

    Dalheimer and Welsh, Running Linux

You can also find several tutorials on the Web. Try entering "bash tutorial" on Google.

    Thumbs up

Hey guys I appeciate both anwers. That First one Regaurding The page on tldp.org appears quite adavanced. does that cover the basic commands that a Noob should start out with?

And I may look at the book from O-Reilly and Associates. Better still I'll read their revies and compare. thanks again.

Sorry to defer from the stated question but i found that, LinuxCBT tutorial videos were very good, Dean Davis is a very good instructor, IMHO.
