Ubuntu 6.10 and WG511v2 wireless card
I'm brand new to working with Linux. Did install 6.10 Ubuntu on an old laptop (P3, 600MHz, 384MB RAM). The laptop works great except for my Netgear WG511v2 wireless card (Marvell chipset, made in China). I have scanned all sorts of forums and Googled all sorts of info but have found nothing concrete to work with. Seems like there are tons of ndiswrapper versions and either you use the W2K or XP drivers depending on the ndiswrapper version. There's even way too many versions and variations of instructions on how to setup the card. This is too doggone confusing!
If I could find some sort of step-by-step instructions regarding how to install this card and get wireless to work, it would be nice, else I'll keep on looking for another distro that will easily work with this wireless card.
