CD-R Burner in PCLinuxOS 2007 HELP!!
Okay, I'm having some serious problems.
Yesterday, I was installing PCLOS 2007 onto my 3.4 GHZ 250 Gig HD 1.25 DDR2 Ram, Samsung CD Burner computer. I was installing it on a new part. I accidentally overwrote my drive with all my data with XP On it so I just did a complete fresh install and wiped my entire hard drive, reinstalled it.
Now, this is my first time using Linux, I should add.
I'm a programmer, and some of the programs I use only work with XP. I write code to integrate with XP. I need to use XP. I was called and told I need to do something for someone, so I promptly searched for my XP disk. Can't find.
Found a torrent copy of it (don't judge.. I will be buying Vista as soon as it comes in.. just need a copy to do work in the mean time) and I downloaded it successfully. I'm trying to burn it but I'm getting major trouble.

It seems most of the errors and such revolve around mkisofs errors or some sort. As I said, I've never used linux before, so this is all new. I need help, and I need it as soon as possible.
I'm willing to pay for the help (upfront if I have to) because I cannot afford to not do this work. I have to do it as soon as possible, and I'm already 24 hours into the period.
My personal e-mail is dykens@gmail.com if you would like, and I can give my website URL if needed. If you prefere to chat off e-mail, I will code a php chat script really quick for us if you want.

Just FYI, none of your MS Windows experience will help you when you dive into Linux.
Just FYI, none of your MS Windows experience will help you when you dive into Linux. It is an entirely different animal. I recommend you do some research before you decide anything, starting with the "Linux is NOT Microsoft Windows" thread here:

Good luck, and above all try to have fun and keep an open mind.
>>>This comes to mind. Heh I just clicked the wrong setting.. I knew what I was supposed to do. I was in a hurry to install.
