PCMCIA driver installation procudure help

Hi All

I am running Kubuntu 6.10 on my Sony sz220 laptop, have just bought a HI Speed wireless broadband connection from "iburst" using a PCMCIA laptop modem.
They have provided me with a cd rom with instructions on installing and configuring the drivers. Except;

I have tried but I dont know how to execute the instructions given.
Can someone help please, I can post the instructions if need be, they will take up a lot of space though.
