Routing problem
I'm trying to set up a server on my home network. I am running Trustix 2.2 on the server computer. I am also running openSUSE 10.2 on my personal computer. The problem is that I cannot access the internet from the server computer. I am using a Linksys router with DHCP. The server computer is set to acquire its IP address from DHCP.
The strange thing is that I can access the router firmware from the server, and I can also ssh from my openSUSE computer to the server computer - so the NIC is working. I thought the problem was with the router. But I had been running Slackware on the server computer before and was able to access the internet fine. Also, when I try to start Apache, it gives some strange error about the loopback address 127.0.01. I think I need to change my routes, but I'm not sure how.
Any suggestions?

I think its a DNS problem. I was able to ping Google's IP address. I looked at /etc/resolv.conf and it was empty so I copied the resolv.conf from my openSUSE computer and I was able to browse the internet with lynx using domain names and not just IP addresses.
The openSUSE resolv.conf says it was written by the service dhcpcd. I don't think I have that service on the Trustix box because chkconfig dosen't list it. I'll worry about that later though, because the internet works.....for now.
Thanks for your help!!
