    regaring /media/hda

    I have XP on 20 GB and the remaining 20 gb is ocuoied by Linux.Whenevr i get in linux i cud see two dir as /media/hda1 and /media/hda2 ...which is nothing but c:\and d:\ drive of my XP partition.
    How come these two dir are visible in linux even though i didnt mounted them during installation.

    Some distros automatically edit fstab to during installation to mount all partitions
