You type those commands at the terminal.

Forgive me for mentioning this, but you seem extremely new to linux, and I was wondering how wise it is for a complete newbie to be installing a server, especially with powerful tools like MySQL/PhP/Perl that make it more likely for you to have your system cracked.

and btw when i run them commands i get this

E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), are you root?

Looks like you're trying to run those commands as a regular user. You need to be "root" to run certain commands.

It sounds to me like you need to spend a while reading up on linux basics (such as user permissions) before you commit to something as complicated as setting up a website. I don't want to discourage you, but I think you need to learn to walk before you can run!

I know what you mean! Luckily there are loads of tutorials on this site. First, it's recommended that all new users should read this one.

This one contains a whole list of tutorials, but I think the important ones are here and here.

    Good luck.

This is a debian question, and I know nothing about Debian!

I think you should try to read a little about apt-get and how it works before you continue with this.
