"ICE default IO error handler..." <- What does it mean?
Hi, I've posted this question in the Red Hat/Fedora help board before I realised there is a newbies board. If the admins are not happy with my double posting, they can delete that post, since it was so ridiculously basic no one bothered to read it, let alone relpy to it.
I'll make sure I post to the relevant board in the future.
Anyway, I often get this error message, or similar (different pid or errno), in the terminal window.
I usually get them during and a little while after running kwrite. Sometimes they also pop up when I don't seem to be doing anything. They don't seem to cause me any trouble, but I'm just really curious about what they mean.Code:ICE default IO error handler doing an exit(), pid = 2906, errno = 0
I've googled, and it seems to be a general format of error messages. Other than that there wasn't a lot of info. Can someone please explain to me what they mean? i.e. What is ICE? What is a default IO error handler? Why would it do an exit()? What are pid and errno? Under what circumstances do they pop up?
