    Yes... Gentoo's emerge, Arch's pacman, and some others work that way.

    Okay, I've dealt with depenancy hell when installing from tarballs and I hate it, when I switch I wan't an OS that resolves that for the ones in it's repositories.

    Most distros have dependency handling package management. In fact, the only one I can think of right now (I'm quite tired) that doesn't have dep handling is Slackware.
