Hi
I am just starting to learn Linux and am using version 10 and kernel source 2.4.20.8.

I am trying to install a NIC on my laptop by following the procedure that the readme gives.
As per direction I have to execute "insmod xxxx.o"
I had built a custom kernel and while using that I got the error " not a command". So i switched back to the normal version 2.4.20.8 and tried running the same command. Now I get an error which says that I dont have the right kernel version and that this was meant for kernel source 2.4.20.8custom.

Please give me your suggestions on troubleshooting this problem. I am stuck and unable to proceed with my work. So I'd appreciate any and all the help I can get on this.
