    problem with Kate auto-indent

    OK, I know how to set the variables, and I know how to use the settings picker gui. I have done all that and the variables are set, but for some reason, Kate only auto-indents when I'm logged in as root, or using through kdesu, (I set all the settings while logged in as luke, my typical user)

    No sound detection during startup

    i install fedora core 4 yesterday and its first time i am working in linux
    how can i detect my sound card for volume, at every startup its give error message no volume control detected
