    NO sound Card detection

    i install fedora core 4 yesterday and its first time i am working in linux
    how can i detect my sound card for volume, at every startup its give error message no volume control detected

    From command line as root run alsaconf to see if the sound card is detected and then you can configure it. Then run alsamixer to verify that volume, etc. is OK. This might work for you.
