    boot up is not showing linux.....

    Hi friends,
    2 days before i did a blunder, i just formatted my c drive and re-installed WinXP, now my linux is not visible in the boot and linux is in a seperate partition, not in C or D drives....? how to get my linux back ??? how to go to linux...

    you have to re-install Boot Loader. which Linux distro do you have?

    thanks for reply devils_casper ,
    i am using FC5, but i don have the CD with me right now.. it is with my friend, can i try to edit the boot.ini file in windows ??? can u tell me what line to add in this file..... i am just trying to get my linux wihtout the help of CD... because i will get that day after tmrw....

    its not possible to add an entry for Linux in boot.ini file without Linux Installation CD/DVD.
    download Super GRUB CD or Floppy, boot up from it and re-install GRUB.
