Mandrake, Fedora, or Suse?
Hello, I am new to Linux, and am trying to pick a Distro. Ive done some research, and have narrowed it down to Mandrake, Fedora, or Suse.
I want something thats free, looks good, and requires pretty basic knowledge. The purpose of me installing it is so that I can become more familiar with linux. I want to be able to experiment and use the terminal, but at the same time I dont allways want to be compiling my own software. I want it basic enough so that Im not always working in the command line, but dont want it so simple that I have a little paper clip jumping at me telling me what to do.
I also would prefer using KDE.
Which do you think is best? I have no problem experimenting and trying out new things.
Thanks a bunch.

Out of the three you suggested, i'd propobly go with suse. But in my opinion the most beginner/user friendly would be kubuntu.
...but thats just my opinion. check out www.distrowatch.com
