    Help for a moron

    I'm trying to install Red Hat 9 on my laptop USING a MANIUAL and though I do everything by the book, when it tells me to insert second CD and I do so, it just stops working. So I'm stuck in the middle of instalation proces. Someone help!

    Bit more information would be useful, how much memory do you have and did you press enter?

    The CD may be bad. This is a common problem. If you downloaded the CD's did you do a md5checksum?

    Easy on the thread subject line there, partner: 1) it's not descriptive; 2) I'm sure you are not really a moron (we all have our days).

    I just want to point out that Red Hat end-of-lifed Red Hat Linux 9 quite awhile ago.

    I'd focus on a newer release - RHEL or maybe CentOS, depending on your needs. Especially for a laptop.
