    linux- min spec

    Hi, i'm very new to this, is there a minimum spec for linux. I've got a dell cpi
    p2 with a 4.8 hdd, and 160mb of memory. Will linux go on it, which distribution will work best if any.Thanks

    Welcome to the LinuxForum.

    a lot of leightweight distros will run pretty fine on this machine. check this thread.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
