    Hello everyone,
Well I am totally new to this VMWare thing, well I already have installed UBuntu Linux, now I want to use Linux while staying in Window XP, I installed VMware for it, but now I dont know how to make it understand that there already is a copy of UBuntu Linux in my computer ...
Can you please help me how I can let VMware know that UBuntu is already installed ... and I just direct it over to that point so that it starts working while remaining in Windows ...
Thanks a lot and really looking forward to your helpful tips and replies
    Cheers

No,no. If you have dual booted and have Windows XP and Ubuntu, you need to have Virtual Appliance of Ubuntu IN Windows XP. The Virtual Appliance of Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy is at http://www.vmware.com/vmtn/appliances/directory/693

I think, althought I might be corrected, that you can create Virtual Appliances but you need to have VMServer rather then VMPlayer - and you can only have one or the other, not both at the same time
