no graphical only text mode... help!!

    Hi

I cant get into graphical mode only text mode.

I get this output when executing "startx"

(EE)failed to load module nvidia (module does not exist)
    (EE)no devices detected

    Fatal error:
    no screens found
XIO: fatal IO error 104 (connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0" after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining
any ideas on how to get nvidia back in there in text mode if that solves the problem, or anything else needs to be done?

    thanks.

Re-run the XFree86 or Xorg set up which ever one you have and when prompted for the video select the 'nv' module, finish with the set up and save it. then startx again. If this does not work then your missing something.
