3. All devices that have any kind of network hardware have a MAC address. It is a hard-wired unique number used for identification purposes. What is the specific error you are getting when you boot it up?Registered Linux user #270181

Help
dont know what linux it is I know its not gui
When the power goes out and I start the box up again Box(gateway)
I had to log in as root and put in my password. Then type this" echo 1>/proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward" Then this "iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth1 -j MASQUERADE" but it wont even let me login there is no error message. it says Hostname lookup failed then it says mac address then it gives me the mac Sorry to be a big pain but thats all I know.
