    DVD Author questions

    Hey all,

I am an extreme newbie that is trying real hard to make the switch to PCLinux OS.

Here's my issue. I have installed DVD Author using Synaptic and that went well but now I don't know how to run it. I can't find the application anywhere. I installed other applications and games also and I can find and run those. What am I doing wrong?

Can someone tell me the steps to installing and then running DVD Author?

    Best Regards,

    Manny

dvdauthor doesn't have a GUI, you just use it from the command line with some XML files you create, however you can install a GUI that will do the dirty job for you and will ease the process a lot, it's called QDVDAuthor

I am sorry to keep this going but I have downloaded QDVD Author but I have no idea on how to install it.

Could you share some knowledge as to how to install it. I have a file called "qdvdauthor-0.1.5.tar.gz" on my root folder.

Have you tried installing it with apt?
