Upgrade from beta to final version?
I have mandriva linux free 2007.1 (the beta version). Is it possible for me to upgrade to the final version instead of the beta. Or do i have to download the final version and install it?

- 03-18-2007 #4Its also possible, but like I said above, a clean install is probably better. If you still want to upgrade from the factory release to the stable release, then go to YAST -> Software -> Installation Sources and remove or disable the factory repo (and the cd/dvd source if its there). After that add the installation source of the stable openSUSE release. Once thats done, go to YAST -> Software -> Software Management. In the filter box, select "All groups" and when the package listing shows up on the right, click on a package and select to upgrade all from the list if an update exists.
