    Just one question for now...

Just like everyone else that is asking questions in this section of the forums, I am entirely new to Linux. I always wanted to try it out and now I finally am, anyway right now I'm running Vista and let me tell you it sucks. I have looked through some threads and read the FAQ and such an I've decided to go with openSuSE as a distro but that doesn't really apply to my question let me get to the point. The thing is I've got a partition on my hard drive with like music, pictures, etc. now will I be able to copy the stuff off of the partition after I've switched over to Linux or no?

...these forums are great very helpful indeed

You don't even need to copy it over, you can play them right off the partition. I assume the partition is NTFS?
