    Mounting new/second dvd-dl

One more question I've searched around, and through /dev/, and I can't figure out which is my old (already mounted) dvd burner, and which is the new one. I think I can mount it, and edit fstab to mount on boot once I know which drive I'm working with, but the closest I could find are hdc and hdd. There are some greyed out cdrom/dvdrom/dvd-writer/etc. files listed when I ls the dir., but I'm not even sure if fooling around without knowing which one it is is safe, let alone which one it is. Is there a way to see everything that's mounted? Thanks again,

you can use 'hdparm -i /dev/hdc and hdd to figure it out.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Thanks Devils! I'm about to install Slackware on a second drive so I have a distro I can break without doing any damage to my real OS. I start to feel like I'm getting a decent grasp on this, then get hit with 'hdparm, and feel like I'm back to knowing ls and ls -a and that's it lol. Thanks again,
