Hi GHOST RIDER,
Welcome to the LinuxForums.
first of all, check this link. 'Linux is NOT Windows'. i suggest you try any LiveCD before installing SuSe to have an idea of Linux. you can download LiveCD from here.
check this link to Burn .iso images correctly. It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

- 03-22-2007 #3Simply put, you're comparing apples to oranges. As devils_casper linked to above, Microsoft Windows and the Linux OS are completely different beasts, with their own sets of abilities and faults. No one can tell you if XP, Linux, Mac OS X, BeOS, Syllable, ReactOS, or even Amiga are the "better" system for you; you simply have to try them and see for yourself. The same is true even among different kinds of Linux (distributions).

if you have good internet connection then download Ubuntu Desktop CD. it has Install option too. otherwise SLAX will be the best choice.
OR
Burn .iso images of SuSe and install it. Installation is very easy. if Windows is already installed, create unpartitioned/free space for SuSe. 8-12GB is enough. select 'free space for install' in Partition Section during installation. Installer will create/format partitions and setup dual boot for you.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Burn .iso image to CD and boot from it. Ubuntu will not write anything in Harddisk untill you press Install Icon on its Desktop.
make sure to create 'free' space before installing Ubuntu. It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
