getting debian iso's
so i'm looking to try out different distros, and I was wondering what i need to install for the debian iso's. When I go to the download page for HTTP, there's 14 different iso's (numbered 1 - 14) and 3 update iso's. I was just wondering if I need to get all of them, or just one of them. Thanks

Oh no, you won't need all of those.
If you have a fast connection, I recommend the netinstall. This way, you really only download that which you need.Looking for a distro? Look here.

If you have a decent broadband internet connection, you can download the first CD only (or the even smaller net-install CD) and download everything else you need after you get the OS installed.

I actually would try that, but I'm looking to install it on my dell inspiron 1100, but the ethernet port doesn't work correctly, so I don't get a fast connection if I'm even lucky enough to get one. What cd's would I need to download?
