Lack of fonts for foreign languages

    Hi,

I am unable to view text in foreign languages in Firefox. For example, the Wikipedia homepage looks a little messed since I don't have the correct fonts, when I view it: http://img483.imageshack.us/img483/5...problempu8.png

I am running Firefox 2.0.0.3 on Slackware 11.0 (following current). The fonts I'm using in Firefox are from the DejaVu series.

Am I having this problem because the DejaVu series doesn't have fonts for the foreign characters I'm having problems with?

Are there any fonts I can use which have these (and the rest) characters?

    Thanks in advance,
    Tom

    Try the fontconfig command .

You may need to download and install additional fonts, but fontconfig is a good place to start.

There are tons of KDE-i18n-* packages on the Slack mirrors that cover many different languages, and tons of other language font packages scattered around the net.
