    Unhappy horribly slow

    the fedora core that i have is working horribly slow.to even open the terminal it takes around 5 min.logging in after booting takes a hell of time.but it was not like this just after installation.
    does anyone know how to correct this.
    i have a P4 with 512 MB ram.

    check this tutorial and stop unnecessary services. check if it increases performance.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
