I'm thinking of dual booting a Linux distribution and Windows. I have a highly customized Dell XPS 710, so it will be quite different from the advertised model, as well as quadruple the price.

I want to keep windows for gaming. I'm interested in the GPL and the freedom we can share as well as what many claim to be the result of that: technical superiority.

I'm just wondering what's holding FOSS back. I'm also wondering if the drivers are available for my hardware.

I want to learn to program using GPL'd tools. Maybe I can do that while just sticking with Windows?

No haters/flamers. Honestly, I don't have the time and neither do you.

Peace
