Saving Files to SD/MMC from a Live CD

I have an asus w3000 laptop with a built in SD/MMC card reader and I have a 256MB SD Card (actually its a micro SD with adapter) and I am running Backtrack Live CD.
My system is Fat32 and I want to be able to save files from the internet onto the SD/MMC card, however I dont know how to find the card/reader in Linux.
I also want to be able to transfer linux files onto my windows hard drive when I do eventually find out how to access the SD card. (and Vice versa)

    Help appreciated.

In two distros I've used, the media card is located in /media. But for you it might be different.

I have successfully saved files from a livecd to an SD card but they were basically text files not something like Firefox profiles. I'm sure, however, it can be done.

I know that doesn't completely answer your question but hopefully it helps a little.
