VPN installation problem on Suse 10.0
I am trying to install a Cisco VPN client (vpnclient-linux-x86_64-4.8.00.0490-k9, provided by my school) on my Suse 10.0 to connect to my school intranet . However, during the installation, I got the following error message ( As shown in red):
Directory containing linux kernel source code
[/lib/modules/2.6.13-15.11-default
/build]
* Binaries will be installed in "/usr/local/bin".
* Modules will be installed in
"/lib/modules/2.6.13-15.11-default/CiscoVPN".
* The VPN service will be started AUTOMATICALLY at boot time.
* Kernel source from "/lib/modules/2.6.13-15.11-default/build" will be
used to build the module.
Is the above correct [y]
Making module
make -C /lib/modules/2.6.13-15.11-default/build
SUBDIRS=/home/wenwenba/vpnclient modules
make[1]: Entering directory
`/usr/src/linux-2.6.13-15.11-obj/i386/default'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target “modules”. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/usr/src/linux-2.6.13-15.11-obj/i386/default'
make: *** [default] Error 2
Failed to make module "cisco_ipsec.ko".
Any suggestion? Some one says such VPN client is too old for Suse 10.0. Is this true? What VPN client I should use then? Will it work for my school.intranet connection?

Well, you could give kvpnc a try. Its a pretty good VPN client, I've used it before on Suse. Also it comes as a rpm, so you don't have to worry about compiling it.
