converting a .flac file to a .wav or .mp3

Hey all.

I'm brand new here and brand new to Linux. I'm on a Linux only machine running Mandriva. I don't really get how a lot of this stuff works yet.

I've tried working a few programs that I found just by googling .flac to .wav, but unfortunately this noob is a having a little difficulty. Is there a simple way for me to convert a .flac file to a .wav or a .mp3 or both? Can someone point me to a program that is simple to use, or help me through it?
