well im sorry u all but im having some real troubles connecting to the net and so i cannot respond with my current linux status ( im under windoze 2k)..

the problem is... uner Gnome when i start the RH PPP dialer i get "failed to activate interface". under KDE i can start dialing usng KPPP but as soom as i connect i get the PPP daemon died unexpectedly.. i enabled logging but seems of no help.. says the same thing...

however.. goofing around... i discovered a xinetd running (2 instances actually) so i stooped it and restarted it.. and it automatically dialed.. no connection managers.. got me connected without a disconnect option..

whats my problem( ) and how do i get rid of this...
