screen resolution
i recently installed ubuntu 7.04 on my pc.the only problem is that the screen resolution does not go more 1024x768 when the intel graphic card supports upto 1280x1024.how do i solve it.i tired installing the driver but even that fails.
it gives an error like this
ERROR: Kernel modules did not compile
The DRI drivers can not be installed without the latest kernel modules.
Installation will be aborted. See the dri.log file for information on
what went wrong.

which driver did you try to install?
try 915resolution.
press Alt+Ctrl+Backspace to restart X Server or reboot machine.Code:sudo apt-get install 915resolution
set higher resolutions. It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
