best live CD for speed test?
Hello
I work for a small private cable and broadband company. It recently occurred to me that we could use Linux live CDs like DSL or Puppy (I know, not exactly a live CD) in instances where our customers' computers have a virus, but they feel that it is actually our broadband service which is causing their slow internet speeds. The customers can put in the Linux disk, jump on the net, check out their speeds on speakeasy.net or someplace similar, and they can see what their computers should be running at.
My problem is that I would like to get the resident on the net with as few mouse clicks and button pushes as possible. Puppy requires you to do a simple connect routine to find an internet connection. This may be too much for some users, as we like to keep things as simple as possible. The upside is that Puppy's SeaMonkwey browser works fine running speed tests at speakeasy.net, speedtest.net, and pcpitstop.com. DSL and Knoppix automatically detect your internet connection. The only online speed test I've found that DSL's Firefox will work with is pcpitstop's, but even then it only works with the download test, not the upload. Knoppix's Konqueror will work with pcpitstop's download test and internetfrog.com's speed test, but it can be really slow compared to the other two.
Suggestions?

accuracy?
thebandwidthplace.com seems to give accurate results? I have little experience with speed test sites.
Thanks
Matthew
