    Readme
    Autobo7
    DConfig

I tried playing the cd like this

    [DR-DOS]A:\>dir i:\

Volume in drive I is Kubuntu Des
    Directory of I:\
    Kubuntu_ ISO
    [DR-DOS]A:\>

Is there a floppy in Drive A:\? If there is, remove it and try booting again.

Now I remember seeing something similar when I once burned an iso the wrong way. Unfortunately, right now I don't have Windows around to check the exact option but it was something like Burn Image, not Burn Bootable or what was it. So maybe after all this is the key to your problem. Try burning it again with the Burn Image command.

I currently use K3B which works fine for me.

yes. you have burned CD incorrectly. if you select Make Bootable CD in Nero, it installs DR. DOS to make CDs bootable.
select Burn Image to Disk option in Nero. .iso images are bootable by default.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
