internet connection not work in Linux
I must be doing sth wrong.
I installed Windows, and then i installed linux (redhat 5). In Linux, i configured internet (wired) to connect to my school net work. After registration to my school network, however, in linux i can only access to a few website (my school, and www.redhat.com). for other website, i am always re-directed to my school website.
So I re-boot the computer and enter the Windows mode. Every thing is fine there, I can access to any website. However, when I again re-boot into linux, I can not access to any website except my school and some website like redhat.com
So, what setting could be wrong? Can anyone help me out?

Since you can access some websites, but are getting sent to your school website the rest of the time, it seems like it's probably caused by a specific quirk* in the software that runs the school network. Have you tried talking to the school sysadmin?
