Red face Stupid root delete trick/Where's Trash??

Hello and yes I know; I did something idiotic....

I'm using a single user(basically) SUSE, KDE. Not too long ago while in a root session, I deleted and restored root's Trash folder(I deleted and restored more than just Trash, but I'm not quite finished kicking myself).

Despite the restore, I can't seem to empty the Trash any more as root. When I try the popup just hangs, and I usually have to kill it. Also, where physically is the Trash folder? Is it /root/.Trash ?? There doesn't seem to be anything in this or the subfolders underneath. Did I blow away a symbolic link?

    Thanks for humoring me....
