revival of an older ibook
i have an older i book (the turquoise? clamshell with handle model) which i installed xubuntu on. im not satisfied with the results (i click the applications button it acts as if it s on a timer and closes out within 3-5 seconds. i can buy some time by manually scrolling down with the arrow keys but it still closes quickley. i am not that fast.) i would like to get some more life out of this ibook. any recomendations? i would like a lightweight os since i just need it for internet . speed is the most important factor, user friendliness is also somewhat important. i like puppy linux and am dissapointed theres is no ppc support currently. i plan on upgrading the ram in the future but first i would like to find a small os that is fully functional on my ibook. sorry i havent been able to access the specs on my computer. thanx for any help.

Here's a recent poll regarding distro favorites for older hardware:

Hope it helps.
