    Apache and Mandrake

    I have a linux machine in my basement and I've been trying to get a web server going. I installed apache via disk but I have no idea how to open it and configure it...

    Anyone good with this?

    The configuration file is called httpd.conf, and normally lives in /etc/apache2/. To start it "/etc/init.d/apache2 start" and to stop it "/etc/init.d/apache2 stop".
