    Newbie to Xubuntu having problems need help!!!!!!!!

    HI EVERYONE, I HAVE CHOSEN TO MAKE THE CHANGE FROM WINDOWS TO LINUX BUT I WANT TO TRY IT ON MY OLDER LAPTOP I HAVE A TOSHIBA SATELLITE PRO M15 S405 MODEL SPECS ARE:

    I HAVE MANAGED TO INSTALL XUBUNTU BUT ALOT OF TIMES I GET A KERNEL PANIC, UNABLE TO SYNC ERROR, OR A UNABLE TO SYNC INIT KILLED!!!
    I DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS BUT IT HAPPENS EVERY SO OFTEN. WHEN IM LUCKY AND IT ACTUALLY LOADS, SOMETIMES IT FREEZES, BUT NOT TO MUCH AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST I CANNOT GET MY WIRELESS TO WORK, IT DOESN'T DETECT A NETWORK AND I DON'T KNOW WHY. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT COULD FIX IT BY GOING TO MY RESTRICTED DRIVERS, BUT IT GIVES ME AN ERROR. PLEASE ANYONE HELP ME YOUR EFFORTS ARE MUCH APPRECIATED!!! THANKS

    Please, please, don't write everything in uppercase, it's really annoying and it means you are shouting and most people will ignore your thread.

    One problem at a time,
    I'm not sure, is your computer booting just fine now?
    Which wireless card do you have?
    Open a terminal and type lspci and post output here
    We need exact error messages not just "I got an error"

    Sorry for writing in all caps i am also new at forums.
    My computer boots most of the time, but sometimes it has an error that says kernel unable to sync, attempted to kill init!
    my wirless card is Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 Network Connection mini PCI adapter
    i am not close to my laptop at this moment but as soon as i get to it i will try that command. i will also write down word for word all the error messages. thanks so much ill get back to you asap!!!

    if you are dual booting or have USB stick, you can copy output there.
