how to remove System Tray Icon of Opera?

Question: in opera (im going to use it for a while and see if its worth switching to) how can i get it to not show an icon in the system tray. I just don't like it there and am unfamiliar with opera so i don't know how to remove it.

    Any help?

EDIT: and how can i make the downloads show up in a pop-up box like in firefox, rather than in a new tab?
It is forbidden to kill; therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets.

hey there, i just reinstalled today and came across this tray icon again, so after googling to find the answer i came across this page

to remove the notification tray icon for opera, edit your shortcut/however you start the application, my command was "opera %u" on the shortcut, i changed it to "opera %u -notrayicon" and closed / opened opera.

    hope this helps

not sure about the transfer window question.
