newb question
firstly, sorry, i know you guys must get these questions a lot and i know it must get pretty irritating
for days now i've been trying to get a live-cd to work, i've tried damn small linux on a usb - loads for about ten minutes then goes to a black screen that lasts hours. i've tried musix and absolutely nothing happens, it just loads up windows as normal, and now i've been trying slax which does the same thing. tried it on three different computers, with the same results on them all.
what am i doing wrong??
as far as i'm able to tell (although, admittedly, i know nothing really about it) the bios is configured right, but i've tried doing it with almost every configuration.
i'm hesitant to actually install it if i can't even get it running from a live-cd, but if that would be easier i might. like i said, i've spent days browsing through all kinds of faqs and walkthroughs, i've tried burning things at all kinds of different speeds etc etc. i've not got a clue.
sorry if this is in the wrong forum, by the way. any help will be very, very welcome.
thanks
just realised this is in completely the wrong place - could someone move/delete as they see fit?
sorry!!

You probably wrote the .iso to disk as a single file? Insead of "Burn Image to Disk". Glad you got it working, hope you like it.
