Wireless Connection
Hello, I am completely new to Linux. By new I mean I just put it on my laptop (live CD) this morning without having previously seen it. As I am trying to learn (without internet on my laptop) I have to keep walking back and fourth between this computer and my laptop with Linux.
How do I set up a wireless connection on the laptop? I have a netgear router, is it possible to get internet on the laptop?
I really have no idea how to do anything besides open the terminal and use the swd command, so a brief walkthrough would be appreciated. Thank you.

1) What distro are you using?
2) What laptop do you have. Make and model?

Which distro are you using? Open a terminal and do this:
su
lspci
After su just hit enter, post output herePut your hand in an oven for a minute and it will be like an hour, sit beside a beautiful woman for an hour and it will be like a minute, that is relativity. --Albert Einstein

Sorry, I have Morphix 0.4 (live CD, which I guess is Debian-based). My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 6000 with the default wireless card.
When I type su I get an authentication failure.

Try with lspci alone
