Whats up!!
Gettin into the Linux world, just loaded up RedHat Enterprise 5 on an old laptop I have. I've gotten IRC setup and ready to join some chanels just don't know where most of you hang out at.
Also I don't know what wireless card is built-in this laptop, I've been through a few of the driver presets that were on here and nothing yet. Wondering if its going to be easier to figure out whats in this laptop or just go out and pick up some scuzzi card at fry's.
What's going to be the best to pick up wireless signals in the bay area? I plan on taking this laptop with me a lot of places and would like to have internet access at most times.
BTW I'm on an IBM Thinkpad x41. Going to be attempting to load linux on an Axim x51v next.

I don't use IRC much, so I cant help you with that.
If you want to know which wireless card you have, do 'lspci' at the command prompt and read through the output. If you can get the built-in wireless to work, then it'll be better than having an extra component plugged into a usb port.
What do you mean 'the bay area'? Do you mean Holes Bay or Lytchett Bay in Poole? Tor Bay in Devon?Linux user #126863 - see http://linuxcounter.net/
